Overview

How do we move quantum technology from groundbreaking research to reliable, manufacturable and scalable products?

Brainport Quantum Day brings together quantum technology companies, high-tech manufacturers, investors, researchers and ecosystem partners to explore what is needed to industrialise quantum technology.

For this fifth edition, Brainport Development and Eindhoven University of Technology are proud to partner with Prodrive Technologies. Throughout the day, leading companies will share practical examples of how quantum hardware is developed, engineered, manufactured and brought closer to market. This event is co-funded by QDNL Brainport Eindhoven.

Date: Monday, 2 November 2026
Time: 10:00 – 17:30
Location: Prodrive Technologies, Eindhoven

From breakthrough technology to industrial scale

Quantum technologies are developing rapidly, but technological performance alone is not enough. Turning quantum innovations into commercial products requires precision engineering, advanced manufacturing, reliable supply chains, scalable production processes and long-term investment.

Brainport Quantum Day 2026 focuses on the partnerships that make this possible.

Through real-world cases, expert discussions and tours of laboratories and manufacturing facilities, the event will explore how quantum companies and established high-tech organisations can work together to accelerate industrialisation.

What to expect

During the day, you will:

  • Learn from concrete collaborations between quantum technology companies and high-tech manufacturers.
  • Explore the engineering, manufacturing and supply-chain challenges involved in scaling quantum hardware.
  • Hear perspectives from investors on financing quantum companies through long development and industrialisation cycles.
  • Visit the laboratories and manufacturing facilities of Prodrive Technologies.
  • Connect with decision-makers, engineers, entrepreneurs, investors and potential business partners from across the quantum and high-tech ecosystems.

Preliminary programme

10:00 – 10:30 | Walk-in and registration

10:30 – 10:45 | Opening
Welcome by the moderator and host organisation.

10:45 – 11:30 | Quantum manufacturing in action: Prodrive Technologies x Qblox
A practical example of how a quantum technology company and a high-tech manufacturing partner work together to develop and manufacture advanced quantum control systems. Justin Harwig, Roger Isaac.

11:30 – 12:15 | Industrialising quantum technology: TBA
A perspective on the technologies, capabilities and collaborations needed to move quantum hardware towards industrial maturity.

12:15 – 13:15 | Networking lunch

13:15 – 14:45 | Scaling and commercialising quantum technology: TBA
Further industry perspectives and an expert discussion on the conditions needed to scale quantum technologies and build sustainable businesses and supply chains

Further details about the moderator and panellists will be announced.

14:45 – 15:15 | Coffee break

15:15 – 16:00 | Laboratory and factory tours
A behind-the-scenes look at the engineering and manufacturing facilities of Prodrive Technologies. During registration, you can indicate your first preference for one of the following tours:

Development capabilities
Visit Prodrive’s development lab, where new concepts are tested and prototype setups are built. Expect experimental equipment, oscilloscopes and early-stage technology in development.

System building capabilities
Explore the system assembly area, where components and subsystems are integrated into complete, complex systems. Examples include computing cabinets, mechatronic systems and power converters.

Mass manufacturing capabilities
Discover Prodrive’s highly automated manufacturing environment, designed to produce tens of thousands of products per year. This includes printed circuit boards, standardised systems and products manufactured for companies.

16:00 – 17:30 | Networking drinks

The programme is preliminary and subject to change.

Who should attend?

Brainport Quantum Day is relevant for:

  • Quantum technology companies looking for engineering, manufacturing, investment or supply-chain partners.
  • High-tech companies exploring opportunities in quantum technology.
  • Engineers and technology leaders working in semiconductors, photonics, electronics, precision mechanics, cryogenics and system integration.
  • Investors and funding organisations active in deep tech.
  • Researchers, policymakers and ecosystem organisations involved in the commercialisation of quantum technology.

Why Brainport?

The Brainport region brings together world-class capabilities in semiconductor equipment, integrated photonics, precision engineering, electronics and advanced manufacturing.

These capabilities can play a central role in building the next generation of quantum products and supply chains. Brainport Quantum Day creates the connections needed to turn technological breakthroughs into industrial collaborations and new business opportunities.
